Manufacturing Excellence & Global Standards

The Tano Production Process: Precision & Purity

Achieving the consistent, high quality that defines Tano products requires meticulous control throughout the manufacturing process. Our approach integrates careful sourcing, advanced technology, and rigorous monitoring:

  • Raw Material Sourcing: The process begins with the careful selection and quality control of incoming raw materials, primarily molasses. Strict specifications ensure feedstocks meet the required standards for optimal fermentation and final product purity.
  • Fermentation: Selected feedstocks undergo controlled fermentation using specialized yeast strains (potentially advanced strains for higher efficiency, inspired by) to convert sugars into ethanol. Process parameters like temperature and pH are carefully monitored to maximize yield and minimize byproduct formation.
  • Distillation & Purification: The fermented beer is processed through multi-stage distillation columns. This critical step separates ethanol from water and other components. Advanced purification techniques, potentially including fractional distillation and molecular sieve dehydration (for anhydrous grades), are employed to achieve the specific purity levels required for ENA, Pharma Grade, Fuel Grade, or Industrial Ethanol.
  • Quality Control: Continuous monitoring and sampling occur throughout the process, feeding into our comprehensive quality assurance system detailed below.

This systematic approach, combining quality inputs with precise process control, ensures that every batch of ethanol leaving our facility meets the highest standards of purity and consistency.

Quality

Assuring Quality: Rigorous Testing & Analysis

Quality assurance is embedded in Tano's operational philosophy. Our commitment to delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations is supported by a robust quality management system:

  • In-house Laboratories: Our facilities house well-equipped quality control laboratories staffed by skilled analysts. These labs utilize modern analytical instrumentation (e.g., Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), spectrophotometry, densitometry) for precise measurements.
  • Comprehensive Testing Protocols: We perform rigorous testing at multiple points: incoming raw materials, in-process streams, and, most critically, final products. Testing adheres to internationally recognized methods, including those specified by pharmacopoeias (EP, BP, USP, JP) for pharmaceutical grades, ASTM standards for fuel ethanol , and internal validated methods for ENA and industrial grades. Key parameters tested include purity (ABV%), specific impurities (e.g., methanol, aldehydes, fusel oils), water content, acidity, and organoleptic properties (odor, taste for ENA).
  • Documentation and Traceability: Every batch produced is meticulously documented, allowing for full traceability from raw materials to the final product. A detailed Certificate of Analysis (CoA), confirming conformance to agreed specifications, accompanies each shipment, providing customers with essential quality verification.

This multi-layered approach to quality control ensures product integrity and provides customers with the confidence that Tano products consistently meet their required specifications.
